Ensure that no kid goes hungry, whether in New York or across the nation, by joining the city’s finest chefs, sommeliers and mixologists on Monday, April 24, 2017 for Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry, a remarkable night of dining in support of No Kid Hungry’s work to end childhood hunger in the America.
Guests will mix, mingle, and enjoy food and drink prepared by more than 50 top chefs and bartenders – an impressive list of talent curated by our co-chairs and host committee. Special culinary adventures include the 2nd annual rosé garden, a candy carnival, a donut derby, and more!
Bryce Shuman, originally from Chapel Hill, NC moved to San Francisco, California to hone his skills as a chef. Working first for Wolfgang Puck at Postrio and then for Stuart Brioza and Nicole Krasinski at Rubicon, Bryce learned the importance of cooking with the finest ingredients and always from the heart. Upon returning to the east coast he joined Daniel Humm’s team at Eleven Madison Park in New York City. During his six years there as Sous Chef and Executive Sous Chef, the restaurant garnered four stars from the New York Times, three Michelin Stars, as well at a top 5 placement on The Worlds 50 Best. As Executive Chef at Betony, Bryce earned three stars from The New York Times, one Michelin star, and was a 2015 Food & Wine “Best New Chef”. Esquire Magazine also named Betony "Restaurant of the Year" When not cooking, Bryce likes to spend time with his loving wife and 3 year old daughter, Emilia. He also collects analog synthesizers, plays blues guitar, and snaps instant photographs with his vintage Polaroid Reporter SE.
Eamon Rockey is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Management. For over ten years, he has worked in service, management and beverage-centric positions at some of New York City’s most highly regarded restaurants including Gilt, Eleven Madison Park, Atera, and Aska. Most recently as the General Manager of Betony, and COO of the North American branch of its parent company Maison-Dellos, Eamon spearheaded the restaurant’s critically acclaimed cocktail program, renowned for its milk punches.
