  • Second Harvest Orange County Food Bank: Founded by the Council of Orange, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, the Food Bank began providing food for the hungry in October 1983 in Orange, under the leadership of Dan Harney. In 2007, the Food Bank moved to a new facility in Irvine on the old El Toro Marine Base, more than doubling its capacity to meet the needs of Orange County.
Taste of the Nation Laguna Beach is Proud to Annouce Mark Alan Dacascos as this years' Host!
     Hawaiian native Mark Dacascos is an actor, director, martial artist, and television personality. Dacascos was born
      into entertainment, from parents with a background in song and the art of martial ancestry. Dacascos has made his
way to a successful acting career that landed him in Cradle 2 The Grave in which he squared off against star Jet
Li. His background and expertise in martial ancestry opened doors for him in being in numerous video games as
voice and live acting, as well as in the video game-turned-film Double Dragon co-starring Scott Wolf. Dacascos is
known for his Best Supporting role in Brotherhood of the Wolf, a box office success. He is always on the lookout
for difficult roles and colorful characters. “You have two ways to look at life. You can see difficulty in
opportunity or see opportunity in difficulty.”
Besides being the chairman of the Food Network’s hit show, The Next Iron Chef, and turning his karate moves
into dancing beauty on ABC’s hit show, Dancing With the Stars, Mark has continued to flex his notable acting
muscles playing the iconic Wo Fat on the hit CBS series Hawaii 5 O. Mark has also appeared on such hit shows
as Chicago P.D and millions have also enjoyed watching Mark in the hugely popular and uber successful web
series Mortal Kombat Legacy. Besides starring in television and films Mark just achieved a career milestone by
directing his first feature film in the Phillipines titled Showdown in Manilla starring Casper Van Diem and Tia
**Mark and his family currently reside in Los Angeles, California.
